LIVE VIVID: The Redmi Note 12 series goes global on March 23rd

Reports say they will cost similarly to the previous Redmi Note 11 (China) series!

It’s been a while since Xiaomi released a new Redmi Note. Before the month ends, Xiaomi will be releasing a new set of confusingly named Redmi Note 12 phones, which of course, includes a 4G version with a particularly interesting chip, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 which is yet to be released.

The rest of the series has 5G access and will also include the Pro+ which has 210W of fast charging and is equipped with an all-new MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset.

This is the third time the series will be launching. It launched first in China, then in India. Now, it will make its mark in other markets which also frankly includes the Philippines.

There are four phones to be launched. This includes the Redmi Note 12 4G, Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, and the Pro+ 5G. Its Twitter account is pretty enthusiastic about the launch (it seems that the supply issues have been remediated, and supply and demand ratios are returning back to normal) the company said that one needs a “space shuttle just to catch up”. The event launches at 23:00 (11:00 PM Philippine Standard Time) on 23rd March, 2023.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 found on the Redmi Note 12 has 2.8GHz clock speed. Because it has no 5G capabilities, it may be an overclocked variant of the Snapdragon 680 and features the same architecture and GPU.

Stay tuned and we’ll update you when the phones launch. In the meantime, you could read our article about the Redmi Note 12 series here. Do note that the Redmi Note 12 4G will debut globally instead of in China.
