The Realme Narzo 50 is Narzo’s viewpoint of the Realme 8i, even sharing similar spec sheets. It comes with a slightly different design that fits the market Narzo is targeting. The young and impressionable. Meanwhile, the Narzo 50A Prime is a phone that takes on the Narzo 50A and makes it even more competent.

The Narzo 50 has debuted in India and we already covered it, so we’re going to tackle it in a “nutshell” form for you.

The Narzo 50, like the Realme 8i, has a 6.6in. FHD+ (2400x1080px) IPS LCD screen with 120Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. The Mediatek Helio G96 serves as the brain of the phone, coupled with 4 or 6GB RAM and either 64 or 128GB internal storage. RAM can be expanded further by up to 11GB, so that’s an additional 7 or 5GB RAM, depending on the configuration you choose.

A 5000mAh battery powers the phone. It is complemented with 33W fast charging. The cameras are the usual ones you find on other phones. A 50mp main sensor complete with two more auxiliaries that serve little purpose. The front camera is a dot notch and has a resolution of 16mp.

It has a USB-C port, a 3.5mm jack, 4G LTE Services, Bluetooth 5.1, and a MicroSD Slot of up to 1TB.

In Narzo’s official Lazada store where it will have customer service available locally, the phone costs Php9,999 for the 6/128 configuration. It comes in Speed Black and Speed Blue colours.

Since the internals are identical to that of the Realme 8i, you can also purchase that instead. The only major difference is the design.

NARZO 50A PRIME

The Narzo 50A Prime is an upgraded version of the Narzo 50A, taking into account the latter’s shortcomings, particularly the display and the design. This phone has a more uniform look.

The Narzo 50A has a 6.6in. FHD+ (2408x1080px) IPS LCD as opposed to the 50A’s 720p display. The chipset inside the phone is the UNISOC T612, a chipset that’s only slightly worse than the Realme C35’s T616. Like the latter chipset, the T612 also is manufactured on a 12nm process. In comparison, the Narzo 50A came with a Helio G85 chipset which offers nearly the same performance. The phone also has a dedicated MicroSD card slot

The cameras are unchanged from the Narzo 50A. It retained the same 50mp main camera and auxiliaries. The front camera is also 8mp sitting on a waterdrop notch.

The battery is smaller than the Narzo 50A. This phone came with a standard 5000mAh battery, as opposed to the larger 6000mAh the Narzo 50A has. It retained the same 18W fast charging capability.

It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner instead of a rear one. This is purely a personal choice rather than an improvement. It has 4G LTE services, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Dual NanoSIM slots. The phone is equipped with a USB-C port and a 3.5mm jack. It runs Android 11 with RealmeUI R on top.

The phone comes in two colours: Flash Black and Flash Blue. In the Narzo store where it can accommodate local services and repair, the phone is priced at Php7,999 for the 4/128 configuration. This is the only configuration listed.
