We have been waiting for a long time for Crunchyroll to come to the country (as many anime fans do as well). They say patience is key, and at this very moment, Globe is granting our wish. Crunchyroll will soon be available to the Philippines thanks to Globe!

This announcement surfaced during the company’s “Wonderful World of Globe” event that was held two days ago. If you have been living under a rock, Crunchyroll is an online anime streaming service that serves legally licensed anime both subbed and English dub. The service has over 3 million subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) users and delivers advertising video-on-demand (AVOD) copyrighted properties including manga, anime, merchandise, games, and more to over 90 million users globally. Currently, the company is owned by Sony which completed its acquisition of Crunchyroll last August.

Globe users and subscribers would soon be able to watch anime legally through a subscription fee (similar to Netflix) in the upcoming future. More details to be announced soon!
