Xiaomi is notorious for their awful naming scheme. Sometimes, they would release a phone, tweak it a little (and even keep the exact same specs as the previous model) then call it new. It’s an amazing marketing strategy that makes others still buy the phone without knowing it will have the same exact performance as the previous one, just slightly tweaked, and the Redmi Note 10T 5G is an example of that.
Why is this? Well… the Redmi Note 10T 5G has the same exact specs as the Redmi Note 10 5G and the Poco M3 Pro 5G. Some sources say it even carries the exact same design as the former. So what’s new? Absolutely nothing.
To recall, the Redmi Note 10 5G has a 90Hz FHD+ IPS LCD, Dimensity 700 and 5000mAh battery, a 48mp sensor with an 8mp ultrawide and two useless cameras (2mp macro and depth), an 8mp selfie snapper and 18W fast charging.
The Poco M3 Pro 5G is of the same ideal. The difference comes from the design and the brand. That phone is Poco branded so it can get away even if it has the same specs. However, the Redmi Note 10T 5G has no excuse since it will probably come with a similar if not exact design, and specs. Most likely, this phone is an exclusive to India, while the Redmi Note 10 5G is released internationally.
The teaser above tells us that this new phone launching in India is “Fast and Futuristic” however because of the specs listed, we have a large amount of doubt and the Redmi Note 10T 5G is just another unnecessary filler for the Redmi Note lineup, just like many of their midrangers currently. Hopefully this isn’t the case.
Oh, it’s not just Xiaomi though, we’re also looking at you Realme, you and your rebranding of the Narzo and C line.
