“OnePlus Pad” name trademarked. That means OnePlus is soon making a tablet

Ever since the pandemic hit, tablet demand has suddenly surged in demand, and many OEMs and ODMs are taking advantage of it. BBK’s divisions Oppo, Vivo and Realme have already been reported to be making tablets. What about OnePlus? Are they making a tablet?

Since you read the title, the answer is yes, they do have plans making a tablet, as the company recently trademarked the name “OnePlus Pad”. OnePlus is also under BBK so it’s not surprising to see that they too are interested in going for the tablet market, especially now that they are still in large demand. In related news, Realme is also expanding to AIoT devices and a laptop called “Realme Book”.

The new OnePlus Pad is likely in line with OnePlus’ recent expansion to not just smartphones but other tech such as smartwatches, smart TVs and audio devices. The listing did not show any specs, but knowing OnePlus, it should come with OxygenOS, which is an OS that is basically an improved version of stock Android and without any bloat.
