A flagship that can shoot the moon is always welcome!
Hello fellow techies! So just about a month ago, we reviewed the Oppo Reno 10 Pro Plus, a phone we’re very impressed with due to its amazing cameras, smooth operation, and overall flagship feel. The review may be too long for some of you to read so we listed some of our highlights!
MoonShot 64MP Telephoto Camera!
The first thing that we love about this phone is the 64MP telephoto camera! That’s right, not the primary, but the telephoto. The Primary camera creates amazing photos on its own but we’re highly impressed about how stable the 64MP telephoto camera is, thanks to its OIS feature. It can zoom up to 100x too, making it ideal in taking picture of the moon at grandeur details!
Bright and Colourful Display
The Oppo Reno 10 Pro Plus comes with a 6.74″ waterfall curved AMOLED and it is as premium as it sounds. The bright display makes the phone a perfect partner when watching movies and even stream HDR content thanks to an L1 Widevine certification. We also love how every colour pops, even on standard settings. Also, the screen is usable outside because of its 1400nits peak brightness. Also, the Hi-Res speakers compliment the movie experience pretty well because it is immersive.
Premium, Metallic Design
The Oppo Reno 10 Pro Plus is a flagship through and through. Not only is it a flagship on the inside but also on the outside. We love the metallic smudge-free back. Grey and Black are colours that we’re kinda tired of seeing but the Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ has a design that just feels beautiful no matter the colour. We also forgot to mention that the box has a rainbow-like effect when you shine it at an angle.
Though, if we’re to nitpick, we prefer the camera island design of the Oppo Reno8 series more than this one. The predecessor just has a more symmetrical design. We also love the rubber case it came with it. Sure it may block the rear design but the grey colour is something we rarely see on other phones.
Flagship Performance, Long-lasting Battery
The phone uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. It may not be the newest chipset today but it’s still very competitive in the space, and also a perfect choice for a phone that costs PHP 39,999. Not only that, the phone comes with 12GB RAM and 512GB ROM.
When we tested the device, we turned off any sort of modification such as Virtual RAM to see how it can play games out of the raw performance. The phone also has its own game assistant called Hyperboost which can monitor the phone’s temperature, the game’s FPS, and enhance gaming performance by choosing different modes such as Balanced, Pro Gamer Mode, and Low Power Mode. You can also block incoming calls and lock the phone’s orientation through it. Also, it has a screen recording feature built-in. What else do you need?
The phone ran smoothly on any game we have played (aside from Yuzu Emulator which we did run into some problems) and this is also in their highest graphics settings. The phone warmed up but it’s well-maintained. If you’re an avid Genshin Impact Player or you’re playing Diablo Immortal, the Reno10 Pro Plus can easily handle it. It’s also worth noting that its 120Hz refresh rate makes everything run smoother, even when you’re just casually scrolling. This can be adaptive as well.
Finally, we have to mention the battery performance as well. We were able to shoot photos and videos (even with OIS-enabled) and play games all day and still have about 20% left. Also, when we ran it via PCMark 3.0, it garnered a score of 10 hours and 9 minutes from 100-20% which is very impressive. This means the phone can potentially last up to 14 hours with regular usage! What’s that? You’re hurrying and the battery died and you forgot to charge? No sweat! The packaged 100W charger is here to rescue you. It took us about 40 minutes to charge a flat battery to full which is very very fast!
You can get the phone now in Silvery Grey and Glossy Purple via Lazada. Again, the Oppo Reno10 Pro Plus costs PHP 39,999 with 12GB RAM and 256GB Storage!
