Honor Pad X9 to be Released on September 26 in the Philippines!

Aside from the three phones Honor is releasing on the 26th, the company also announced a new budget tablet called the Pad X9 to be released on the same day. When we visited the Honor office, the tablet already has an attached magnetic keyboard and this is confirmed to be released alongside the tablet. Though, it’s sold separately.

The Pad X9 is a large 11.5″ tablet featuring a WXGA+ (2000x1200px) LCD screen. Its main feature is arguably the six speaker system (two at the bottom, two at the top, and two at the right corner) with Hi-Res Audio for both wired and wireless earphones. This feature is uncommon for budget tablets and it’s nice to see Honor including it. It also features a metallic design and comes in a single Space Grey colour scheme.

Tablets, even at flagship levels, do not usually possess cameras that are as competitive as smartphones, so you can see where we’re going with this. The Honor Pad X9 features a dual 5MP camera. One is at the back and the other is at the front. The tablet is aligned in a landscape orientation which is now commonplace among new tablets.

In terms of performance, the tablet features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685. A 4G chipset, but that feature is disabled for this tablet. As of this writing, Honor is yet to release a tablet with LTE features. It comes with 4GB RAM (with 3GB Virtual RAM) and 128GB ROM.

For a tablet this large, we’re surprised to see such a small battery size, only 7250mAh. Not only that, it charges via a 10W USB-C 2.0 port. Take that, if you may.

While it lacks LTE features, it still does have Bluetooth 5.1 and dual-band Wi-Fi. To give you a wider field of view, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 is similar in performance to the MediaTek Helio G99. It also is a 6nm chipset and as the name suggests, it is an improved version of the Snapdragon 680

Again, the tablet is to be released on September 26 with a Space Grey colour option.
