ICYMI: The Tecno Spark 10 and 10C are now available! Two iPhone-like budget phones!

Hey, it’s cool if you want an iPhone but have the yearly savings of a highschool student.

Aside from the popular Spark 10 Pro, there are also two other variations of this phone. These are the vanilla Spark 10 and the more budget-oriented Spark 10C. In terms of design, these two are the same. However, the internals are slightly different. In particular, with the cameras and the chipset.

The Tecno Spark 10C has a 6.6″ HD+ (1612x720px) waterdrop IPS LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. It also uses a UNISOC T606 chipset with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. You will find it in Shopee listed with 8GB RAM but this is a marketing trick. The additional 4GB came from the Virtual RAM feature which makes for excellent marketing material because marketers like to play the numbers game. The larger the number, the more enticing and grand it sounds.

It has a 16MP primary camera with an unknown, yet possibly depth, second camera. No, this doesn’t have a tertiary camera don’t bother looking for it. Aside from this, there’s an 8MP selfie camera.

There is also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging. It has a USB-C port as well as a 3.5mm jack located on the right side of it.

It is available for PHP 4,599 in Meta Blue, Meta Green, and Meta Black. A hint of the Tecno metaverse? Yeah, we’re probably overthinking this.

Tecno Spark 10

Now, the Spark 10 is a slightly different story. Here, the primary camera gets an uplift from 16MP to 50MP and also a slightly better chipset, the MediaTek Helio G37. Also, despite the promotional images, there’s no green variant of the phone, at least in the Philippines. Instead, a Meta White colour replaces it. Everything else feels about the same as the 10C but less than the 10 Pro.

It is priced at PHP 5,699 and is available on Lazada and Shopee. It is currently discounted to PHP 4,999 and you also get a FREE Vacuum flask when you purchase one branded with Tecno.
