The Dimensity 9000 debuted as the world’s first 4nm chipset for smartphones and serves as a competitor for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. With the release of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, another 4nm chipset but now manufactured by TSMC instead of Samsung, MediaTek needed an answer fast. That answer is the upcoming Dimensity 9200 to be revealed next month!

What is this chipset about? Well, it comes with the same features you know and love about the Dimensity 9000. This chip will use the Cortex-X3, the first chipset to do so if ever. If you can recall, MediaTek is the first company to use the Cortex-X2 super core used by other manufacturers as well. The Cortex-X3 is 25% faster compared to its predecessor.

The new Immortalis G715 GPU will also makes it debut here. Arm has previously started rebranding and categorizing their GPU names, and the Immortalis now stands in place of Mali for the flagship line. Like almost all of MediaTek’s chipsets, this Dimensity 9200 is again manufactured by TSMC, based on a 4nm process.

The chipset is expected to arrive first on BBK’s umbrella companies which are Realme, Vivo, Oppo, and iQoo. However, these are still rumors so we need to wait next month until anything official comes out, but the rumor does come from a trustworthy and accurate source.
