Oh, wait no, it’s just a Narzo-fied Realme C30.
Narzo is not exactly a new brand. They were Realme’s answer to Xiaomi’s Redmi series, focusing mainly on budget handsets. In short, they are Realme’s budget phone and lifestyle arm, alongside DIZO. Since the release of the Narzo 50 series, the company has announced that it will be working as an independent brand. So yes, like Redmi.
Just like Redmi, Narzo uses Realme’s resources, and the Narzo 50i Prime is another example. It has a design similar to the C30. Noticeable by its large cyclops-like rear camera.
Just like the C30, it features a waterdrop notch of 6.5in. HD+ (1600x720px) IPS LCD screen. It also features a UNISOC T612 chipset paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage expandable via a MicroSD card.
The waterdrop notch houses the 5MP selfie camera while the luggage-striped back sports a single 8MP camera with flash. It has a 5000mAh battery charged through an outdated MicroUSB port. It also boots up with Android 11 with a watered-down RealmeUI R Edition. It has no 5G services and that’s expected already for phones of similar class. In terms of connectivity, there’s a single-band 2.4GHz Wi-FI, Bluetooth, and 4G LTE services.
In the Philippines, users have a choice between Dark Blue and Mint Green. Just like the C30, the design is based on a carrier’s luggage. It starts at Php 4,999 and is available at Realme’s official online stores via Lazada and Shopee as well as offline and partner retailers.
