The Infinix Hot 12 Play will arrive in the Philippines!

Punch-hole on a budget.

Ever wanted a phone with a dot notch but they seem a little too expensive? Well then, we have good news for you! The Hot 12 Play from Infinix is coming to the Philippines.

The Hot 12 Play is a budget phone, part of the “Play” subseries of the Hot series. Upgrades from its predecessor include the 90Hz screen and Virtual RAM expansion.

Talking about the screen, the phone features a 6.82in. HD+ (1612x720px) IPS LCD screen with 90Hz refresh rate. It uses an unidentified chipset, although the 2.3GHz speed was mentioned. Likely, this is a Helio G35 or a UNISOC, likely the UNISOC T610 chip, we’ll find out soon. As mentioned, it comes with expandable RAM, up to 3GB (from its original 4GB RAM configuration), 64GB internal storage, and a “triple” camera set-up consisting of a 13MP primary and a depth + AI complement. The front camera has an 8MP resolution and also features a flash, which is pretty hard with screens occupying 90% of the phone nowadays.

It comes with a stunningly large 6000mAh battery, larger than any typical smartphone. Thankfully it has 18W of fast charging because even 10W is slow on a regular 5000mAh battery. It has a USB-C port for you to use. The battery can last potentially for up to 8h on gaming and 120h on music. It also has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner

It boots with xOS 10 based on Android 12. The phone starts at Php 5,999 which is stunningly affordable for a punch-hole phone. It comes in four colours: Champagne Gold, Racing Black, Horizon Blue, and Daylight Green. It will be available soon on Lazada.
