A rebadged Redmi K50 Gaming with stunning features and even more stunning price!
The Redmi K series is always impressive as hardcore but cheap gaming phones. They are the Chinese versions of the Poco F series starting with the F3. In a social media post, POCO is bringing the Redmi K50 Gaming worldwide as the Poco F4 GT
The Poco F4 GT will carry a nearly identical spec sheet as the Redmi K50 Gaming. With that said, the phone will come with trigger pads, a 6.67in. FHD+ (2400x1080px) OLED with 120Hz variable refresh rate and HDR10 support. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus
The phone uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset that is cooled by two vapour chambers. The larger one measures 4015mm2 while the smaller vapour chamber measures 845mm2. The chipset is paired with 8 or 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and either 128 or 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.
The cameras are midrange but they are an upgrade versus the Redmi K40 Gaming or globally, the Poco F3 GT. The main camera is a 64mp Sony IMX686 sensor complemented with the usual 8mp ultrawide and the virtually unusable 2mp macro camera. The front camera is a 20mp Sony IMX596 sensor.
The 4700mAh battery keeps the phone from turning itself off and when it does run out of juice, it can charge very quickly with the included 120W charging capability on a USB-C. Xiaomi has demoed the Redmi K50 Gaming in its launch stream and you can see it used while charging. It will come with an L-shaped charger so it will be comfortable for you to hold.
It will launch with Poco’s own UI based on Android 12. It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 5G services, and NFC. Colours include Cyber Yellow, Stealth Black, and Knight Silver. It will be available today. The 8/128 variant starts at Php 27,590 while 12/256 option starts at Php 30,990.
Its debut price is also slightly lower. The 8/128 early bird price is Php 24,390 while the 12/256 early bird price is Php 27,990 The phone would be available in Lazada and third-party stores that are authorized to resell Xiaomi and POCO handsets.
