Realme releases a limited-edition Free Fire-themed Realme 9 Pro+ in Thailand

Same internals, gaming-like design

A variant of the Realme 9 Pro+ was created in cooperation with Garena Free Fire, a shameless copy of the popular Battle Royale title, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG).

Design Cues

This phone features a different design than the regular Realme 9 Pro+ and this one feels more like a gaming phone as well. The back is made of glass and has design cues that are inspired by the game’s available items and weapons such as the combat knife, gun barrel, and gun slide. It also comes with the “BOOYAH!” victory message right beside the camera array.

The box that it comes with is also different. It still uses Realme’s signature yellow theme but the front now features Free Fire’s central character Kelly the Swift. The contents of the box are also modified and now come with Free Fire stickers, a combat knife-esque SIM ejector tool, and a game map.

Other than these design changes, the internals are the same as you would get on a Realme 9 Pro+. These include the AMOLED screen, 50mp Sony IMX766 with OIS, and 60W fast charging

We are not sure if Realme would also release this variant to the Philippines but when it does, we’re expecting a slightly higher price tag. We’ll keep you posted.
