Realme 9 Pro and Pro+ are heading to the Philippines on 15th March!

Oh, that day marks also the 2nd year of the pandemic. We can’t also wait to get a hold of one considering the camera.

Realme has released several teasers ahead of the Realme 9 Pro and Pro+ launch on their socials, in particular, the Realme 9 Pro+ boasts the camera performance because it stands by the fact that it uses the 50mp Sony IMX766 camera that’s only seen on more expensive flagships. We are also excited to have one of them for review (maybe someday, someday)

Other notable features of the Realme 9 Pro+ are the 6.4in. FHD+ SAMOLED panel with 90Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It has a pixel-per-inch density of 411. It possesses the 6nm Mediatek Dimensity 920 processor that should heavily put the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G to shame considering the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 trade blows over it. This is paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 internal storage, as well as an expandable MicroSD slot of up to 256GB.

The Realme 9 Pro+ has a 50MP Sony IMX766 camera with OIS, but you probably already know that. It’s complemented with an 8MP ultrawide with a FOV of 119° and a fairly useless 2mp auxiliary camera. The front camera is the usual 16mp sitting on top of a dot notch.

There is a 4500mAh battery with 60W fast charging and boots with RealmeUI 3.0 based on Android 12. It has 5G services, In-display fingerprint sensor, VC Cooling, Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6 capability, and the gimmicky Heart Rate monitor.

It comes in two colours: Sunrise Blue and Aurora Green but it’s a guarantee that the Aurora Green is coming in the Philippines, both for the Pro and Pro+ variants.

Realme 9 Pro

The lower end of the two and should just be called “Realme 9” at this stage. It is the direct competitor of the highest-end Redmi Note 11 Pro coupled with pretty typical specifications.

It is slightly taller than the Pro+, standing at a height of 6.6in. Unlike the Pro+ this phone only uses an FHD+ IPS LCD panel but was partly compensated for having a higher 120Hz refresh rate. It also has a cooling system like the Pro+

Inside it is the cursed Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor based on a 6nm process. It is inferior in performance versus the Dimensity 920 but still is competitive. This processor is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage which Realme seems to be fond of. It is also MicroSD expandable at 256GB

There are three cameras at the back. The first being the 64mp main camera complemented with an 8mp ultrawide and a 2mp macro. Don’t let the high MP fool you, this camera is a lot more inferior versus the Pro+. The front camera is also 16mp like the Pro+ on top of the dot notch

Inside it is a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. The entire phone is a lot more inferior to the Realme 8 Pro in many respects but it is more in-line to the Realme 8 5G and Realme 8. It boots with RealmeUI 3.0 based on Android 12.

There’s a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometrics and like the Pro+, also comes with an Aurora Green colourway with a “light shift” effect. There’s also a Sunrise Blue option.
