The UniPin Ladies Series 2022 will start on 22nd April!

Hey, women can game too ya know

UniPin is a leading digital entertainment and gaming wallet centered in Southeast Asia, and they have a very large presence in the E-sports scene, whether women or men. They offer top-up access to some of Southeast Asia’s most popular games like Mobile Legends, PUBG, and Genshin Impact.

UniPin has announced today that they are hosting the Ladies’ Series for the second time. Their first was back in October 2021. UniPin is keeping the e-sports community healthy and active, and this event also gives women the chance to prove their prowess in e-sports competitions!

The registration for the tournament will be open from March 1st until April 17th and can be accessed via https://www.seaca.gg/tournament/unipin-ladies-series-season-1-ph. The open qualifier stage will take place from April 22nd to April 24th. Meanwhile, the regular season is scheduled from May 2nd until May 19th, followed by the play-off stage from May 24th and the grand finals on May 28th. The two best teams from the UniPin Ladies Series Philippines will become the country’s representatives for the UniPin Ladies Series SEA Invitational.

While a physical venue would have been nice, the tournament would be held online instead due to the pandemic. It will also be streamed on UniPin’s socials including Facebook, as well as FEPL’s Facebook page. In comparison to last year’s event, the event prize is even higher, at Php 130,000! That’s more than DOUBLE than last year! So we all wish you luck and play your best.

In addition to the grand prize money, winning teams would receive a license from the Philippines’ Game and Amusement Board (GAB). This license makes you an official professional e-sports player and you can have the opportunity to play in international e-sports events!

Debora Imanuella, SVP UniPin Community, explains that the UniPin Ladies Series will pave the way for many female e-sports teams to show up and compete in the Philippines’ esports scene. “We are glad to present the opportunity for every female gamer in the Philippines to compete and show their skills with confidence. The UniPin Ladies Series is not just another esports tournament, but the perfect stage for female gamers in the Philippines to enter the competitive scene, and will act as a stepping stone for female pro players to reach a higher level in the Southeast Asia region. This competition will certainly boost the growth of the female gamers community and the Philippines’ esports ecosystem as a whole,” said Debora.

All matches of the UniPin Ladies Series can be accessed through their Facebook, YouTube, UniPin Ladies’ Facebook, and FEPL’s Facebook. A more detailed explanation of the event can be found through UniPin’s Instagram (@unipin_ph, @unipincommunity, @unipinladiesseries), or through SEACA’s website.
