Globe expands its 5G services for users abroad


Globe has partnered with several telecom companies in Southeast Asia so that their 5G services could also work abroad. These include China Mobile, Vivacom in Bulgaria, and Viettel in Vietnam. Also in the upcoming months, Globe will also expand to Brazil and Sweden by partnering up with Vivo Telecom and Tele2 respectively.

Currently, Globe’s international 5G roaming services are available in these locations:

ASIA and MIDDLE EAST:

  • Singapore- Singtel
  • Thailand- AIS Thailand
  • China- China Unicom and China Mobile
  • Hong Kong- CSL
  • South Korea- KT Corp and SK Telecom
  • Vietnam- Viettel
  • Taiwan- Taiwan Mobile
  • Kuwait- STC and Ooredoo
  • Oman- Omantel
  • Qatar- Ooredoo
  • Saudi Arabia- Mobiliy
  • Turkey- Turkcell
  • UAE- Etisalat and Du Telecom

EUROPE:

  • Bulgaria- Vivacom
  • Nordic region (Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Norway) and Estonia- Telia
  • Italy- Telecom Italia

NORTH AMERICA:

  • Canada- Telus
  • USA- AT&T

There is no need to register to activate these roaming services. All users got to do is turn on their mobile data and data roaming. Users can however, avail data roaming promos through GlobeOne app or GCash, or by dialing through *143# (must have a Globe SIM Card first)
