In a recent post by Xiaomi on Facebook, the company announced a price drop for two budget phones, the Redmi 9A and 9C.
The Redmi 9A is now priced Php200 lower, at 4,490 for the 2/32 variant and both variants for the Redmi 9C also had price drops as well. The 2/32 variant now starts at 4,990 php and the 3/64 variant now starts at 5,690 php.
To recap, the Redmi 9A is a budget phone powered by a Mediatek Helio G25 processor. For the display, it has a 6.53in IPS LCD HD+ display. For the camera, it has a single 13mp powering the phone on the back, and a single 5mp selfie camera on the dewdrop notch. For the battery, it has a 5000mAh battery with no fast charging described, just regular 10W charging.
The Redmi 9C on the other hand, is a higher-end budget phone powered by a Mediatek Helio G35 processor. For the display, it has the same 6.53in. IPS LCD HD+ found on the Redmi 9A. For the camera, there is now three cameras, although the other two are just 2mp auxiliaries, coupled with a 13mp main sensor; it even has the same 5mp selfie camera as that of the Redmi 9A. For the battery, it is the same Li-Po 5000mAh battery as the Redmi 9A, also without fast charging.
