Lenovo has recently unveiled laptops to add to its inventory, two of which are budget Windows laptops and the other is a chromebook, with the aim to target students and online classes.

For the Windows-based laptops, there are: the 3rd gen 500W, the 2nd gen 14W, 100W and 300W models

Let’s start with the Windows laptops

Windows-based laptops

The 500W (3rd Gen), a 2-in-1 laptop with touch display, is powered by an Intel Pentium N6000 processor with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB M.2 SSD storage. RAM option is market-dependent. This is also their top-of-the-line model.

This laptop has a privacy shutter on its front camera. It has a 5mp webcam with 720p resolution.

For resolution, it is measured 1366×768 pixels. The laptop measures 11.6 inches, making it fairly handy but also small by notebook standards. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.

The 100W and 300W run on AMD 3015e budget processors. That’s basically it for these budget laptops, they have the same internals, apart from the processors they are equipped with.

Chromebooks:

The Chromebooks are pretty much in the same ideal. These are the 3rd gen 500e, 2nd gen 14e, 3rd gen 100e, and the 3rd gen 300e.

Like their Windows counterpart, the 500e is the top-of-the-line model. It is a 2-in-1 notebook with touch display, like the 500W. Featuring the same display and ports as the 500W. Like the 500W, it has rubber bumpers and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass for drop and bump protection, and a water-resistant keyboard which can resist up to 360ml of liquid.

For the processor, it is equipped with Intel Celeron N5100 processor and up to 8GB RAM and 64GB SSD. That’s pretty small for a laptop, however it is intended to run Office-based apps and other school-related applications so having a large storage is not as necessary for a laptop at this price range.

For connectivity, It has ports including: 1x USB-C 3.2, 2x USB-A 3.2, HDMI port, MicroSD card slot and headphone jack. It also supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 with 4G connectivity.

The others, 100e, 14e and 300e are of the same specs but with AMD processors instead of Intel.
