Three choices: pleb, casual, and gooner.

ZTE has launched its newest budget gaming phone. Yes, the company that owns RedMagic with the most unhinged Facebook page ever, matching that of OperaGX (almost), as a new phone on the line under the Nubia brand. It’s called the Nubia Neo 3 and sports quite a robotic look and fits right for those fast hands.
You know what they say, a gaming device is not complete without fancy rainbow lights, even if they only use potato-quality internals. The Nubia Neo 3 is like that except it actually features top tier internals at a pretty sweet price point. Not potato at all!
It’s called a “series” because the series includes the pleb version (4G), the casual (5G), and the die-hard gooner (GT) . The 4G and 5G Nubia Neo 3 are identical to each other aside from the chipset used. Meanwhile, the Nubia Neo 3 GT is where things get quite interesting.
The Nubia Neo3 4G and 5G sports a 6.8″ FHD+ (2400x1080px) IPS LCD screen with 120Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, the Nubia Neo 3 GT kicks it up a notch by using an OLED screen with a bright not-safe-for-your-usual-discord-glazer 1300nits display.
The Nubia Neo3 4G comes with a UNISOC T8100 chipset, the 5G has the UNISOC T8300, and the GT uses the UNISOC T9100. The latter two is comparable to the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 and 7020 respectively, while the T8100 is almost similar to the Helio G99.
It’s surprisingly hard to get detailed information out of ZTE, so we’ll try to list things based on what we can find. The Nubia3 has 8GB RAM but no information on the storage (likely 128GB), the Nubia3 5G also has 8GB RAM and unspecified storage, and the Nubia3 GT has either 8 or 12GB RAM but again, no info on storage. You must purchase the phone to find out.
Now that’s out of the way, let’s discuss the cameras since the Nubia Neo3 series isn’t just all about gaming, it’s also about recording important moments especially when you’re watching MPL live on stage, or any other e-sport event really. All three phones have a 50MP camera at the rear with a 2MP auxiliary and a 16MP selfie camera. Nothing unusual. This kind of camera works for a casual shooter or vlogger and you’re using the phone to defeat tryhards anyway.
Another thing these three phones have in common are the shoulder trigger pads, as defined by its gaming aesthetic. In addition, all three have X-Axis linear motors for extra tactile, clickety-clack feel.

What seals the deal for these three is that you can now feel less lonely as all three have an AI-powered waifu companion built in. Sure, it may not be Mora but if it makes you feel less lonely, that would be swell. Look, she can even cheer for you!
Most media often say to not use your phone while charging. That’s not a problem anymore at least with the Neo3 series thanks to bypass charging. Simply, it uses the power from the connected outlet instead of the battery which reduces heat (and even more so thanks to the built in vapor chamber) and reduces battery degradation.
Speaking of batteries, the Nubia Neo3 series includes a 6000mAh battery inside with 80W fast charging. A crucial feature especially if you want to spend Genshin all day resinless.
As for the audio, all three phones come equipped with stereo speakers with DTS:X enhancement. While not exactly hi-res certified, it should sound pretty bold and immersive while trying to prepare chicken dinner or making Captain Price proud.
Needless to say, the 4G and 5G phones have a side-mounted fingerprint reader while the GT has an in-display type thanks to it using OLED.
The Neo3 4G starts at PHP 7,999, the Neo3 5G at PHP 9,999 and the GT at PHP 12,999. All three phones are available at Nubia kiosks nationwide and the brand’s respective Lazada and Shopee online stores.
The titanium-like robotic-designed phones are available in Shadow Black, Cyber Silver, and Titanium Gold with the latter being the highlight colour.
Keep an eye out because today (and today only) you can get a Nubia Neo3 for only 6 on Shopee’s megasale!
