Honor Philippines has posted a new tablet. But unlike other tablets, they announced that their new tablet will officially be available for only PHP 6,999 (4/128) starting October 2 until October 9! Yes, this means you can maximize your purchase on 8.8, the day of the megasale! Who knows, you might even get the tablet for free.

The tablet in question is called the Honor Pad X8a. The tablet is a slightly more powerful version of the Pad X8. The Pad X8a is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset and an 8300mAh battery with an unspecified charging rate, so expect some pretty slow charging time here. The tablet is Wi-Fi-only so you can’t use cellular services with it.

Honor is on a mission to make its products as thin as possible, even when they are foldable devices. The Pad X8a is thin and light weight, measuring only 7.62mm, and weighs only 495 grams.

The Pad X8a has an 11-inch FullHD+ (1920x1200px) display aligned horizontally. Though, the refresh rate remains at 60Hz despite what the website says.The tablet also has an aluminium unibody that is common for many tablets today. The Pad X8a also boasts a quad-speaker system with Hi-Res Audio certification. This means that whatever you hear in this large entertainment powerhouse, is full of clarity.

Cameras are not necessarily important on a tablet, not especially in this price range. The only time when it can be used normally is video calling, and the Pad X8a features a double 5MP camera. One at the back and the other at the back. Still more megapixels than the Pad X8.

The Pad X8a comes in a single color, the iconic Space Grey. As we mentioned earlier, you can get this affordable tablet with specs to match for only PHP 6,999 from October 2-9. After that, it will be back at its regular price of PHP 7,999.
