Honor Might Also be Releasing the Honor 200 Pro in the Philippines

They mentioned a series in the Facebook group, and one of our colleagues confirmed it as well.

Honor has excitedly announced the Honor 200 in the Philippines and is coming soon. No date, just a big surprise. However, if you noticed, the brand has not released the Pro variant of their number series… right until today. Honor specifically mentioned “Honor 200 Series” and there are only two in the series, the other is the Honor 200 Pro. For the first time, we’re getting a buffed, more flagship-like variant of the original!

The difference is not so major though. You’re still rocking that Casa Mila design and the oblate camera island. You’re also getting pretty much the same type of cameras. To recall, these are the 50MP primary and telephoto, a 12MP Ultrawide camera with 2.5cm macro, and a 50MP selfie camera. The battery is also the same, a 5200mAh SiC battery with 100W fast charging. The IR Blaster and stereo speakers also remain.

However, there are some noticeable differences. The first and most obvious is the chipset. It has been upgraded to a more powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. The selfie camera now has a dedicated depth sensor for better blur effects with selfies, and fast wireless charging is supported. Particularly, 66W.

Also, while the telephoto camera is the same, a Sony IMX856, the primary camera is different. It uses what’s apparently an “H9000″ camera with a larger 1/3” sensor size. It still has quadrapixel binning but also it has an extra feature inside. A 2-in-1 motor with 8-wire SMA AF and OIS which allows for near instant focusing. Moreover, it also has f/1.9 aperture.

What we forgot to mention is that both the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro are results from a collaboration with Harcourt Studios, a French-based photography studio with 90 years of experience since 1934. Its renowned lighting effects are utilized within the camera app of the Honor 200 and 200 Pro.

The Honor 200 Pro is even more obscure than the Honor 200 when it comes to pricing and even the launch event barely announces it. They’re keeping the great ones hidden for that surprise and wow effect. Stay tuned, as it will be released alongside the Honor 200.
