vivo Will Upgrade One of Its Y-Series Phones. Guess Which One.

Hint: It comes with a shiny new green colorway…and a Snapdragon 680 chip.

When it comes to vivo phones, we are always amazed by how they can make even their budget-oriented phones look luxurious in comparison to its price. That is a marvelous feat honestly. Now, their Y-series of mainstream and budget phones are exactly that. One of them is getting upgraded. Can you guess which one?

We’ll drop the ball: It’s the vivo Y27! This phone will be getting a complementary sibling called the Y27s. According to the company press release, the Y27s main upgrades include a smoother refresh rate, new refreshing colors, and upgraded performance. This phone is already available elsewhere so we can just summarize its specs here.

The vivo Y27s features sigh, a waterdrop display. Here, it’s a 6.64″ FullHD+ IPS LCD with 90Hz refresh rate. It is equipped with one of the industry’s most popular 4G chipsets, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 and comes with 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM. Yes, both of these are expandable. The former virtually and the latter physically via a MicroSD Card.

Thankfully, vivo discarded one of the useless 2MP cameras and now settled with just two. The main one is a 50MP sensor alongside a 2MP depth lens. The 8MP selfie is housed on the waterdrop notch.

It comes with a typically sized 5000mAh battery with 44W fast charging on a USB-C port. It comes with the usual stuff a budget phone gets including a Side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, and Dual-band Wi-Fi.

It boots up with Android 13 with FunTouchOS 13 on top. It is also IP54 rated which is a good bonus. Garden Green and Burgundy Black are its main color schemes.
