The RedMagic 9 Pro Is Available in the Philippines via XUNDD!

Witness the completely all-screen smartphone in its glory!

Last month, ZTE launched its most aggressive gaming phone yet, the RedMagic 9 Pro. However, just before the launch, XUNDD was already taking care of pre-orders and now you can buy one of these bad boys at their store located near Rizal Park in the Philippines!

The RedMagic 9 Pro takes design cues from the previous RedMagic phone, the RedMagic 8S. The phone is noticeably sharp and aggressive-looking. Again, its front camera is hidden underneath the screen and so you can have a truly full-display experience!

Speaking of displays, the RedMagic 9 Pro is equipped with a 6.8″ QHD+ (2480x1116px) LTPO screen manufactured by BOE. The screen model is called “Q9 Plus”. It is very similar to Samsung’s E3 AMOLED screens but it’s slightly more affordable. The display has 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, L1 Widevine certification, and 2160Hz PWM Dimming. It is very bright too, maxing out at 1600 nits.

As a gaming phone, it is equipped with the most modern cooling systems available for smartphones, including a 22,000RPM turbofan and a redesigned vapour chamber so that it is 18% larger and allows for a more efficient airflow. It also features a design where the back is transparent. The phone comes in three colours: Snowfall, Cyclone, and Sleet.

As expected, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is present inside this phone. The phone comes with 16GB RAM and 512GB ROM which is more than your typical mainstream laptop or PC. The company tried its own benchmarks with the mobile industry’s most demanding and popular games.

It charges its massive 6500mAh battery using its 80W power brick, on a USB-C 3.1 port. According to its advertising materials, the RedMagic 9 pro can charge in 35 minutes from empty to full with its given charger.

Finally, the cameras, the least of RedMagic’s priorities. Even then, the phone’s cameras are competitive. It sports two 50MP Samsung GN5 cameras at the back and a 16MP under-display selfie camera in its second generation. The first 50MP is the primary camera while the second one is an ultrawide. Because these two cameras share the same identical sensor, both of them have OIS included.

As mentioned in the title, you can get the phone locally thanks to its partner, XUNDD.PH. It initially starts at PHP 42,999 for the 12/256 Sleet colour and PHP 54,999 for the 16/512 variant with the rest of its colours, which are Cyclone and Snowfall. During its pre-order stage, users are able to claim a RedMagic Magnet Cooler 4 and a Gamepad.

Android 14 is also now in its stable release, so the phone automatically boots with it. On top is the RedMagic OS fork, version 9.0

Watch out for the ASUS ROG Phone 8 launching as well four days later since the writing of this article.
