We were anticipating this phone since the Honor 90’s release, and it’s finally here!
The Honor 90 is a great midrange device. We can tell because we had a chance to have a test run with it. We are very impressed with its cameras, especially the front. That 50MP camera has EIS that actually works and also 4K video recording, something even flagships, for some reason, struggle to include. Not only that, the actual design is nice-looking too! We got the Midnight Black variant. Oh, let’s also not forget the industry’s fastest anti-flicker rate yet at 3840Hz. Flagships, even the ultra ones, still use the standard 2160Hz PWM Dimming. In a nutshell, when viewed using a light source, the screen has fewer black bars and this flicker, while not visible, is still processed by the naked eye and so it hurts when you’re using the phone in the long run.

Aside from Emerald Green, Midnight Black, and the Diamond-cut Silver, Honor announced a brand new colour for the phone, though only available for a limited time. It’s Peacock Blue! This colour is actually available globally but for some reason, not in the Philippines initially. Those who want a blue Honor 90 can finally get their hands on one.
To recall, the Honor 90 is a midrange smartphone with a 120Hz OLED screen and 3840Hz PWM Dimming, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, a 200MP “Flagship” Samsung ISOCELL HP3 Camera with EIS, and a 5000mAh battery with 66W fast charging. It’s also, to reiterate, one of the rare occasions when a midrange phone can actually create 4K video using the selfie camera.
When you purchase the Peacock Blue Honor 90, you can also be rewarded with a gift bag. We’re quite curious what’s inside it and, admit it, you are too! The phone’s price did not change because of this colour and it’s still PHP 24,990 (12/512).
