A phone to contest the Infinixes and Tecnos
ZTE has made its comeback to the Philippines and is releasing more and more phones now. The competition is getting tough once again as former dead brands make their comeback. Sure, you may say that they made their presence when they released the Red Magic series of gaming phones through their exclusive partner, XUNDD Philippines. It’s a similar situation with OnePlus where they are opening up service centers, kiosks, and Philippines-approved handsets.
The next phone on the list is a gaming phone but it’s no Red Magic. Instead, it’s a uniquely designed phone meant to compete against the Tecno POVA series called the Nubia Neo 5G.
It’s also a one-of-a-kind device. This is the first officially to-be-released phone that comes with a 5G UNISOC chipset called the UNISOC Tiger T820. The company’s answer to the MediaTek Dimensity 810. It is paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. It’s only 18GB RAM because you can add as much as 10GB extra through its Virtual RAM feature.
Up front is what appears to be a 120Hz IPS LCD with a waterdrop notch cutout. We believe that manufacturers should drop this design already at this price range as it is outdated. Cameras are definitely not its speciality. The rear comes with a 50MP + 2MP setup while the front uses an 8MP shooter.
Due to these specs, we’re expecting a price between 8,990 to 11,990. We’ll let you know once ZTE releases it. Their kiosk is located in SM City Grand Central in Monumento, Caloocan. They also have a presence online via Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok. You can also follow ZTE Philippines through Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for further updates.
