A typical budget phone with a MediaTek Helio G36 chipset and a slightly bigger 5200mAh battery versus other brands.
Honor globally released the X5 Plus. It comes with a typical premium-like design that many other budget phones adopt nowadays (which is a good thing). However, we know looks aren’t everything, so let’s check out the spec sheet.
The phone’s main distinguishing feature is its large and long-lasting 5200mAh battery. It also charges as slow because it only comes with a 10W charger, a thing still present in a lot of budget phones. Another is apparently the “large” 64GB storage (and 4GB RAM) with a MediaTek Helio G36 chipset inside. The display is only 720p sure but at least it has 90Hz refresh rate which is now becoming the standard. Finally, it comes with a 50MP Primary shooter and an 8MP selfie camera situated on top of the now-dated waterdrop notch.
So, in short, it is another budget phone in a sea of budget phones. It isn’t out yet in the Philippines but with the rate of success Honor is enjoying, time can tell and we might see this one pop out in offline stores as well as online like Lazada, TikTok, and Shopee.
