The Nothing Phone (2) is Set to Make its Debut on July 11th!

Wonder how Pete Lau would make this thing stand out… aside from the pretty lights.

The bright side, huh? Carl Pei is quite the fan of Star Wars for that reference, and the Nothing Phone (1) illuminates the night sky better than most softlight flashes. This feature is retained for the next phone, the Nothing Phone (2). The company has confirmed quite a few key specs, including a flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.

Alongside this, NothingOS 2.0 will launch. The first-gen Nothing Phone would get it via an OTA update and the Nothing Phone (2) would launch with it immediately. That would be an article for another day.

Another exciting feature for this is that the Phone (2) would be having a cinematic-like feature like RAW HDR shots and 4K@60fps videos. Though, the company has not announced yet whether the front camera will also get the same feature.

If there’s anything Pei wants most Android phones to have is their longevity. The new Nothing Phone (2) lasts up to 7 years, 3 major updates and 4 years’ worth of security patches. Not as long as iPhones but still impressive when compared against other Android manufacturers.

Of course, the transparent back with the dot matrix design will remain. Most likely, it may come in white and black.

Stay tuned on June 11th.
