Narzo announces the N53, a budget phone with an iPhone-like camera bump

Also with Mini Capsule which is “inspired” by the iPhone 14 Pro’s Dynamic Island.

Narzo isn’t an independent brand yet over in India so you will still see Realme over its marketing, unlike here in the Philippines. The company announced a new phone with an interesting look. The cameras here look very similar to some iPhone models like the iPhone 12. It also features the Mini Capsule, the second phone to have it after the N55 and more phones would soon have this feature. They clearly knew what they were doing with this design conscience.

In a nutshell, the phone is your typical Realme budget phone sporting a metallic-like design so it looks premium (it’s really plastic, a really shiny plastic) and comes with specs you’d expect, such as 6.74″ FullHD+ 90Hz LCD screen, a budget chipset (in this case the UNISOC Tiger T612) with 4 or 6GB RAM and 64 or 128GB internal storage, Dynamic RAM and MicroSD Card Slot, a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging, and a 50MP camera with complementary 2MP filler.

Also, there’s no 5G connectivity here. You get 4G LTE instead as well as Bluetooth 5.0 and dual-band Wi-Fi. There’s a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric security.

In India, the phone is priced at INR 8,999 (~PHP 6.1K) for the 4/64 variant while the 6/128 trim is priced at INR 10,999 (~PHP 7.4K). It comes in two colours: Feather Black or Feather Gold.
