Realme brings the Realme 10 Pro with a Snapdragon 695 and an apparent lack of an ultrawide camera

Instead of keeping the 8MP ultrawide, they kept the useless 2MP depth. Crazy logic right there.

The Realme 10 Pro. The second of three trims for Realme’s 10 series. The first was the Realme 10 which was the first time they omitted the ultrawide and macro into the question, but for some reason, kept the depth sensor. The Realme 10 is now positioned in the budget segment instead of midrange. The Realme 10 Pro now takes that slot.

Like the Realme 10, the Pro lacks an ultrawide camera (for some reason). Yes, we know that the 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro are gimmicky as all hell, but we’d rather have the former than a depth sensor, which, in practice, does nothing. Prepare to see dual cameras again in future smartphones. Heck, we can say that smartphones will definitely go back to using single cameras again and relying everything with AI.

Design-wise, it is nearly identical to its budget sibling. The Pro features a 6.7in. FHD+ (2400x1080px) IPS LCD with 120Hz refresh rate. Nothing much to see here. It also uses a punch-hole where the 16MP front camera lies.

There are only two cameras, the 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HP6 and a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera is a Samsung S5K3P9 sensor which produces a 16MP output. There is still a LED flash available at the back.

Now, going for the internals, you can see the usual shtick. The Snapdragon 695 chipset is present, complete with 8 or 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 internal storage. You can also locate the 5000mAh battery here which charges via USB-C and up to 33W of power.

One of the most notable changes is the use of Android 13 with RealmeUI 4 on top. This new version has improved performance and stability characteristics and would be present on all future Realme phones. Some handsets may also receive an OTA update for Android 13 and RealmeUI 4.0.

It supports Hi-Res Audio and also features a 3.5mm port for wired headsets. In addition, it has 5G services, Bluetooth 5.2, Dual-band Wi-Fi, Dual NanoSIM Slot, Virtual RAM, and an in-display fingerprint reader. It comes in Black, Blue, or Gold with international availability to be confirmed soon.
