The design is pretty similar to the Note 11 Pro+
After a long series of rumors and teasers, the Redmi Note 12 series is finally surfacing, and they are even more competitive now… Although we’re half expecting that these are going to be restricted, and we’re fully expecting these phones would be released under several names in several brands, including POCO.
The designs have not changed much since the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Pro+ (globally, POCO X4 GT) but the internals do. The phones will be unveiled in Beijing tomorrow, 27th October at 7PM Beijing Time (7PM Philippine Time)
While the regular phones aren’t out yet, there are a few things Xiaomi teased they would come with. First is the specially modified ISOCELL HP3 camera sensor called the HPX specifically for Xiaomi. This sensor comes with a 14-bit colour depth and 4 trillion colour support, 64 times more than the HP3. This is a 200MP sensor with a 16-to-1 pixel binning and Samsung claimed that this pixel binning helps in night scenes. This one would be available on the Redmi Note 12 Pro+
Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 12 Pro, a competitor to the Realme 9 Pro+ and possibly the Realme 10 series, comes with a Sony IMX766 sensor instead. The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ will also be equipped with the new MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset which is an improvement over the Dimensity 1050.
Continuing tradition, all of these phones will be equipped with at least a 90Hz refresh rate in their AMOLED screens and an IR Blaster. In addition, the Redmi Note 12, Note 12 Pro, and Note 12 Pro+ are all equipped with a fast 67W, 120W, and 210W charging respectively (imagine the outage this would cause).
We would let you know about the details once these phones go live. There is also a limited-time Discovery edition that is related to Xiaomi’s Explorer edition phones.
