The Infinix Note 12 Pro 5G is coming to the Philippines

There are just too many choices for phones nowadays

Infinix has announced that the Note 12 Pro 5G is soon going to be official in the Philippines! It is a budget 5G phone advertised for performance in mind. These days, there are a lot more choices, so much it’s confusing which to pick.

Boasting the Mediatek Dimensity 810, the phone is a performance powerhouse for its asking price. To keep the phone from heating too much, Infinix also added a VC cooling chamber inside. It is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The RAM is expandable virtually, taking a bit of your internal storage, up to a total of 13GB, while the internal storage is expandable via MicroSD card.

The screen is also not to be ignored, as it is a 6.7in. FHD+ (2400x1080px) AMOLED although sadly it lacks a high refresh rate. This screen has 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut and 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio.

It has three cameras, the main highlight being the 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM6 primary camera that’s complemented by the ignorable 2MP depth and macro lenses. The 16MP front camera sits at the middle of the phone and it is supported by a dated dewdrop notch

The phone boasts dual speakers with DTS surround sound and a 3.5mm jack. The phone’s battery has 5000mAh capacity and charges via USB-C. It also supports up to 33W of fast charging. The design feels premium and sleek, despite it being a budget phone.

It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The reason it doesn’t get an in-display one might be for cost-cutting measures. It is run with xOS 10.6 based on Android 12. It has a few built-in features such as the Dar-Link 2.0 software that uses AI algorithms to optimize the phone’s software which not only includes performance but also battery life, temperature, and memory especially during gameplay.

There aren’t local prices yet so we’ll have to wait until Infinix says anything.
