LG announced the Ultra Tab in South Korea!

Oh, so they’re NOT completely out of the smartphone/tablet game after all.

While LG Mobile may be dead internationally, it seems like they’ve not given up in their home country. This somewhat mirrored the fate of manufacturers like HTC and Meizu. While now completely nobodies, they’re still in the game, but as a minor manufacturer. That’s how far the great giants have fallen.

The company released an Android tablet for Korean users, the LG Ultra Tab. It is a 10.6in. mainstream tablet perfect for students and productivity users.

The display is a 10.6in. WUXGA+ (2000x1200px) IPS LCD with 60Hz refresh rate. If you’re an aspiring artist and Wacom tablets are just too expensive for you then you’re in luck as this tablet is bringing Wacom Pen support, making it a worthy alternative.

It houses quad speakers. Two on each of the top and bottom sides. There is an 8MP main camera and a 5MP selfie. It is loaded with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which powers the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset inside. It has US Army MIL-STD 810G standards to ensure its durability. This is also a feature on past LG devices. The tablet is also expandable up to 1TB via MicroSD card

It will not be available internationally so for those who wanted it, you may need to ship it with extra steps. It costs KRW 426,000 (~Php 18.2K) and comes in Charcoal Grey. Come to think of it, the tablet is unusually expensive but given its limited availability, it’s understandable. Other alternatives include the Xiaomi Pad 5, Nokia Tab T10, and Realme Pad X.

It doesn’t seem to have any LTE variants. It runs Android 12 fresh out of the box. Users do have the option to get a keyboard and kickstand though. The Wacom Pen is not sold by LG. If you do have one, then it might be compatible.
