Cherry to launch new 5G phones this April! Rumors say it will come with the Dimensity 810 5G chipset!

Cherry has really moved up in the world and is now international quality.

Cherry Mobile is a local manufacturer of smartphones and the company has announced they will be having an online event this 29th of April, Friday, 2 PM (Philippine Standard Time). While we don’t have a lot of details yet regarding this launch, it is rumored that this is where the company will reveal its first-ever 5G phone. This 5G phone seems promising.

A render revealed by Walastech shows that the phone has a similar appearance as the Blu F91 5G. If that was the case, then the Cherry Mobile 5G phone may have the same specs as the Blu F91 5G. That is, a 6.8in. FHD+ screen, 18W fast charging, and 5000mAh battery. The new phone (possibly called “Aqua S10 Pro 5G”) may also be equipped with 10W wireless charging which is quite rare for the class. In a sense, it will complement its 4G sibling, the Aqua S10 Pro.

There are also four cameras at the back. The Blu F91 5G sports a 48MP camera along with a terribly low-res 5mp ultrawide and 2mp fillers (macro and depth cameras). The front camera is 16mp on a punch-hole.

It also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner which also acts as a power button, seen on the render. It will be charged via USB-C and comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage options. As mentioned, the chipset used here might be the Dimensity 810 5G.

We don’t have anything specific to say about the price so we’d rather have you wait until 29th April for the official specs and price. Take note that the specs listed here were taken off the Blu F91 5G as the phone has a similar appearance to it and the fact that Cherry did have phones that came from Blu for use by Filipino users. The Aqua S9 Max, for example, was based on the Blu G90 Pro, and the Aqua S10 Pro was based on the Blu G91 Pro which was in turn, based on the Gionee M15. Take this rumor here with a pinch of salt as these aren’t yet official.
