The OnePlus Ace will premiere tomorrow in China. OnePlus 10R is the global variant.

It is a OnePlus midrange phone with Mediatek Dimensity 8100

OnePlus has confirmed that it has set to launch three phones. The latter two, the OnePlus 10R and OnePlus Ace are essentially the same phones for different markets. The OnePlus 10R globally and the Ace for China. The other phone is the Nord Lite CE 2 with a Snapdragon 695 chipset and alongside it is the OnePlus Nord Buds.

While identical handsets, the Ace and 10R will launch a week apart. 21st April for Ace and 28th April for the 10R. The phone has a 6.7in. FHD+ (2400x1080px) AMOLED with 120Hz refresh rate and comes with HDR10+ support for a vibrant and vivid movie-viewing experience. It is said to be equipped with the newly introduced Mediatek Dimensity 8100 which has been rumoured that OnePlus will be the first company to use it. It is paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. The 10R might pack a slightly modified version of the chipset called Dimensity 8100-Max.

Three cameras are present in the back (four counting the front camera). The main sensor is 50mp and possibly with an ultrawide and either the useless 2mp auxiliaries. The front is 16mp like every selfie camera nowadays.

The battery pack is 4500mAh in capacity and comes with an ultrafast 150W fast charging. This is the development smartphones have gone through and it will continue to increase in wattage as fast charging development matures. This makes 30W feel slow and 15-18W charging stupidly sluggish. Rumors suggest that it can charge an empty battery to full in 17 minutes which is really insane.

If the rumor mill is correct or accurate, then expect this specs. For now, let’s just wait until tomorrow and next week as there might be surprises that await us.
