Live renders for the Motorola Frontier surfaced. May be equipped with a 194MP camera with OIS.

Okay, who actually needs THAT many megapixels on a smartphone?

As smartphone technology improves, so do optics. Manufacturers have been going crazy over high MP counts, even to go as far as 600mp! The Motorola Frontier breaks competition as it is equipped with a 194MP camera.

The camera used on the Motorola Frontier also features OIS. Previous leaks mention a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP1 sensor but as more and more information pushes forward, this is now becoming less likely. The other two sensors are reported to be a 50MP ultrawide and a 12MP telephoto sensor. The front camera is yet to be revealed.

Other reported specifications include a 6.7in. Plastic OLED panel (pOLED) that used to be significant on many of LG’s smartphones. This display has a 144Hz refresh rate and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chip, a chipset rumoured to be manufactured by TSMC this time, hoping to deliver better performance than the Samsung-made SD8G1 chip.

For the battery, a 4500mAh battery is reported along with an ultrafast 125W fast charging and a 50W fast wireless charging to complement. If the device’s renders, specs, and name turned out to be true, then we will be expecting the launch this July with similar or identical spec sheet. These are rumours, so take it with a pinch of salt as anything can possibly happen.
