Android tablets have returned!
Android tablets have been considered dead since 2019 and multiple well-known OEMs have given up on them. However, it had a huge resurgence and sudden demand during the COVID-19 pandemic, and companies are once again eager in developing them.
Oppo, for the first time, has joined the Android tablet market. The new Oppo Pad has been leaked through several ColorOS 12 promotional images. Now, their existence has been further confirmed by its 3C certification showing 33W fast charging support. There are other key specs that are rumoured as well.
According to the very reliable Digital Chat Station, the tablet would be using a Snapdragon 870 chipset. This means that it will directly compete with the Mi Pad 5 which uses a similar chip. Cross-platform compatibility has also been rumored to be coming with the tablet, allowing users to work on PCs, smartphones, and other tablets all at the same time.
Other specs that have been rumored include the 120Hz IPS LCD with a screen size of 11inches and a resolution of 2560x1600px. Although this has not been confirmed yet.
