ZTE unveils the Voyage 20 Pro and the Axon 30 Ultra Aerospace Edition. The latter comes with an astonishingly large 18GB RAM and 1TB storage

Phones: become computer

ZTE Axon 30 Ultra Aerospace Edition

Three days ago, ZTE unveiled two phones: The Voyage 20 Pro and the Axon 30 Ultra Aerospace Edition. The Voyage 20 Pro is a midranger while the Axon 30 Ultra is a flagship, and was announced with a limited-edition space-themed design.

ZTE Voyage 20 Pro

The Voyage 20 Pro is awfully all midrange. It comes with a 6.67in. 90Hz AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution as well as a punch-hole cutout to make way for the selfie camera.

The phone is powered by a Dimensity 720 5G chipset, making it a midrange device all around. This is paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration. Inside the phone is a 5100mAh battery with 66W fast charging.

For the cameras, the phone uses a triple camera setup: a 64mp main, 8mp ultrawide, and a 5mp macro. The usual stuff. It has a standard 16mp camera so you know that cameras aren’t the focus of this device. The phone boots with MyOS11 based on Android 11.

In China, the phone comes in two colours: Cyan Ink and Dawn. It retails for CNY 2,198 (~Php 17.4K) and sales start on 4th December.

ZTE Axon 30 Ultra Aerospace Edition

The ZTE Axon 30 Ultra Aerospace Edition is the main highlight between the two phones. If you haven’t noticed already, both phones appears to have a “space theme”. If the name “Voyage” doesn’t remind you of travel or space, I don’t know what could.

Anyway, back to the Axon 30 Ultra AE, it is a ramp-up of the original Axon 30 Ultra which comes with a “small” 16GB RAM. This Aerospace Edition comes with a whopping 18GB RAM previously only seen on the ASUS ROG Phone 5 Ultimate. This 18GB RAM is paired with 1TB of internal storage.

As it is a version of the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra, you get an identical spec sheet: 6.67in. 144Hz FHD+ AMOLED protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5, Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, 4600mAh battery with 65W fast charging and support for Quick Charge 4+ and USB Power delivery, and a triple camera setup consisting of: two 64mp cameras one for wide and another for standard, an 8mp periscopic telephoto, and another 64mp ultrawide camera. The selfie camera is 16mp but can record 4K.

The main difference is the colourway and theme. This phone comes with a stealthy black colour with a space theme and you also get True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds from ZTE as well as a 65W charging brick and cable.

The phone retails for CNY 6,998 (~Php 55.3K) and is available for purchase in China starting 26th November.
