Motorola teases the Moto Edge X, which could possibly be a flagship

It is teased to have the next-gen Snapdragon 898 as well.

Motorola would release flagships once every few months. One of the few flagships they brought to the country is the Moto Edge 20 Pro. In China, they released the first-ever phone with Snapdragon 870 called the Motorola Edge S.

Today, Lenovo announced through their Weibo page that they are unveiling a new phone called the Motorola Moto Edge X, which should be seen as the successor of the Edge S. The company did not share any information about it other than the teaser above.

As the Moto Edge S is a flagship, the Edge X should be the same ideal. The phone is rumoured to have the next-gen flagship chip, the Snapdragon 898 to power the phone and may be the first device to be powered by the said chipset. The SD898 is expected to arrive at the next Qualcomm Tech Summit, on 30th November.

If you find anything peculiar, Motorola did not launch any phone with SD888 this year and instead stuck with the SD870 as their flagship chip of choice. Because of this, it is also possible that this phone would have the SD888 chip instead of the next-gen SD898, or there would be another variant powered by this flagship chipset.

We’ll be waiting for Lenovo or Motorola for more announcements. For now, keep the specs with a pinch of salt as it still is considered rumours. At least we know the name is official.
