The Mi Pad 5 is now available in Europe. It’s going global!

We just need the Mi Pad 5 Pro to come internationally as well. It’s… not announced

The Mi Pad 5 is Xiaomi’s newest tablet and has now gone official for international users. We already made an article about the Mi Pad 5 and its Pro variant, so we’ll keep this short.

To recall, the Mi Pad 5 (or just the Pad 5) comes with a 2K (WQHD+) AMOLED screen with over 1 billion colours. It also has a 120Hz refresh rate. The tablet has a striking resemblance to the iPad Pro thanks to its notchless, near-bezelless design. The tablet also comes with its own pen for taking notes or drawing. The pen has a variety of functions.

Just like an artist’s drawing pen, it has two buttons: the primary and secondary. They serve a variety of functions including opening notes and taking a screenshot.

For the processor, the Mi Pad 5 uses the Snapdragon 860 to boot. While not the latest flagship processor, it is still a flagship processor but has no 5G support (and it may not be even necessary for a tablet). For endurance, the Mi Pad 5 uses a 8720mAh battery with 33W fast charging. For audio and visual experiences, the tablet supports high-res audio with Dolby Atmos sound enhancement from its quad speakers.

Price:

  • 6/128: EUR 349 (~Php 20.5K)
  • 6/256: EUR 399 (~Php 23.4K)

The pricing does not include the pen, that is sold separately.

As always, here’s to hoping for a Philippines release.
