The Realme Pad is confirmed to launch this September 9

It is said to pack an AMOLED display and a Helio G80 processor. Meaning this is targeted for conscious budget buyers.

The Realme Pad is Realme and BBK’s first tablet, and since their sneak peek from Android Authority as well as during the Realme GT livestream, it has been anticipated. One of the catalysts that increased its interest is the confirmed AMOLED screen. However this comes at a cost: It’s rumoured to use a pretty budget processor, the Helio G80, instead of a flagship one like the Snapdragon 888 or a Mediatek Kompanio processors, which are Helio and Dimensity processors rebranded and optimised for tablets.

Realme Pad with thin and light design is coming on September 9

Realme has confirmed a release date for the tablet: September 9th. Its main features include its thinness and its AMOLED screen. The tablet is measured to be just 6.9mm thick (nice). The company did not reveal the weight yet but has assured everyone that it will be lightweight “so that you can entertain on the go, be more accessible for e-learning, and work lighter.”

According to Geekbench, will use a Helio G80 processor, would ship with Android 11 and RealmeUI and a minimum of 4GB RAM. For people who are expecting a high-end device to compete with either the iPad Pro or the Mi Pad 5, well, sorry to disappoint you but it seems like Realme is geared towards conscious budget buyers.

Other specs rumoured include an 8mp main and front-facing camera, a 10.4in screen size, USB-C and at least 7,100mAh battery. There is no stated Wi-Fi-only version of the tablet yet.

In order to keep things fresh, Realme has setup a promo page on its website, wherein the company stated that they will reveal more features of the tablet starting tomorrow, 5th September.
