The Xiaomi Mi Desktop Monitor 27in. has been released for the Philippine market

It’s a mainstream monitor intended for casual or office use.

While Xiaomi primarily focuses on software design and smartphones, they also sell different items including TVs, monitors, fridges and even rice cookers! The company has an ever-growing ecosystem which is what the company initiated since their foundation. As part of that ecosystem, Xiaomi has released the Mi Desktop Monitor that is also now available for purchase in the Philippines.

As mentioned in the title, the screen size of this monitor is 27in. The resolution is FHD+, specifically, 1920×1080 pixels. It has a conventional refresh rate of 75Hz, an aspect ratio of 16:9, a contrast ratio of 1000:1, a 178° viewing angle, 300 nits peak brightness and uses an IPS LCD panel, so while intended for office use, you will still get a high quality panel.

The monitor is also known in China as the Redmi Display 27-in. For the ports, we will list them down below:

  • 3.5mm Audio Port
  • HDMI 1.4
  • VGA port

In the Philippines, the monitor costs Php9,990 to purchase and is available on Xiaomi’s Shopee and their own online store. The monitor may be the replacement of the cheaper Mi Desktop Monitor 1C which has a smaller screen size of 23.8in. If you’re more into gaming, you’re in luck. Xiaomi also released a 34in. curved gaming monitor with 144Hz refresh rate and 4ms response times. However, it also uses a VA panel instead of IPS which is usually not ideal for a gaming monitor (the performance is somewhat in the middle between TN and IPS panels). This may be for cost-cutting reasons. That monitor costs Php22,990 to purchase.
