Xiaomi’s 200W Hypercharger to be mass-produced next year

According to a Chinese news outlet, MyDrivers, Xiaomi’s 200W fast charging tech is going to hit for public use next year, around 2022 June!

This very fast charging tech is called “HyperCharge” and can charge your phone from nothing to full in under 15 minutes! This tech was first showcased by a Tweet from Xiaomi last May, using a customised Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro. It was later revealed that, after 800 charge cycles, the battery would degrade by up to 20%.

The report said that HyperCharge would debut on Xiaomi’s highest-end flagship, possibly the Mi 12 Ultra. When Xiaomi first showcased this, it was more of a concept demo, rather than something consumers would actually experience and use. Currently, the fast charging tech we have today can charge from 0-100% in 30 minutes or an hour, depending on the wattage, which is double than what HyperCharge can do.
