Samsung Galaxy F22 (aka A22) shown in renders

Upcoming Samsung Galaxy F22 is probably based on the A22 that hasn't launched yet

Samsung is one of those companies with a weirdly confusing naming scheme (they already got it together with S, A, M and Note, all of which are coincidentally letters for the brand name “SAMSUNG”). Though they aren’t as confusing to naming as compared to the likes of Sony or Xiaomi.

Naming aside, there has been a render on Voice.com of a budget Galaxy F22 which sort of looks like an ODM phone because its design is similar to many of Realme’s C-series phones.

The Galaxy F22 (SM-E225F) has first been leaked by a tipster known as “the tech guy”

The design seems to be based on an earlier rumoured phone called the Galaxy A22. The Galaxy A22 showed a gradient pinstripe pattern and a triple camera arranged in a square formation in a similar fashion as the F62.

If the Galaxy A22 and F22 have the same design, then it’s possible that the latter is for specific countries only while the A22 is the international variant. According to SAMMOBILE, the Galaxy F22 is India-only.

There are also two versions of the A/F22, one with 5G and one without. For the cameras, the phone is said to be equipped with a 48mp main sensor and two auxiliaries including an 8mp ultrawide and a 2mp depth.

Because it is a budget phone, expect budget processors. For the 5G version, the Galaxy A/F22 may come with the budget 5G processor, Mediatek Dimensity 700 5G with 6GB RAM . The 4G version of the phone has its processor yet to be announced. If this was the case, then this is Samsung’s most affordable 5G phone to date.
