Umidigi finally made its presence in the Philippines as it launched its official Shopee store in the country, which means Umidigi is no longer a grey-market area and services can now be catered because now they have local offices set up.
Previously, Umidigi was selling phones in Lazada and Shopee, although there were no service centers nor offices, making repairs and warranties less likely to be catered. Also, because it used to be a grey-market seller, parts are also hard to obtain since most of their offices are located in China.
In the store, there are currently five phones listed for sale and more will soon be added. These phones are:
- Umidigi S5 Pro
- Umidigi Bison
- Umidigi A9 Pro
- Umidigi A7s
- Umidigi A9
The S5 Pro is currently the highest-spec offering, sporting a pop-up cam and Mediatek Helio G90T. The Bison is Umidigi’s “rugged” phone offering, although most rugged phones have similar durability with phones that have hard cases in them, with IP-rating that also depends on the phone model.
