Redmi TV X-series launched in India with 4K resolution and AndroidTV 10


Redmi, a subsidiary of Xiaomi, has recently launched the Redmi TV Series X in India. These are Android TVs with sizes starting from 50 inches. Because they are Android TVs, users can install their favourite apps directly on their TV! (Yes, this includes your favourite games).

Redmi TV Series X features

The series has three sizes: 50, 55 and 65 inches. It comes with AndroidTV 10 and Google Assistant. All three models have 4K resolution with support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+. All three also support Xiaomi’s Vivid Picture Engine for vibrant images and colourful video. As for the audio, there are two 15W speakers that are tuned with DTS Virtual X and Dolby Audio as well as Dolby Atmos if one connects a supported soundbar.

As for the internals, all three TVs come with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage and are powered by Mediatek’s MT9611 quad-core chipset. For connectivity, there are three HDMI 2.1 ports, 2 USB slots, optical audio port, an ethernet port and a headphone jack. All three models support Bluetooth 5.0 and dual-band Wi-Fi.

For the pricing, the TVs start at Rs. 32,999 (~22K php) for the X50, Rs. 38,999 for the X55 (~26K php) and Rs. 57,999 (~39K php) for the X65. The corresponding numbers refer to their sizes.

The TVs will go on sale first on Amazon India as well as Mi.com 12nn on 26th March
