There is a way?
Eleven days ago, Google announced the newest Pixel 11 series, including the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, which was commented on by critics as imperative and more of a “midgrade“. However, in turn, it was praised for its AI features and brighter screen than the 10 Pro Fold, debuting last year.
As you can read form the title, there is indeed a way to get the Google Pixel 11 series here. The series never had an official launch in the Philippines, and it’s still difficult to have the phones serviced or maintained here. The folks at Team Fridays have got you covered with every new Pixel line, with some promos even including a trade-in. Not to worry, the phones are open-line so you don’t have to worry about getting locked of a specific carrier.
To recall, the Pixel 11 series is a slightly refreshed Google Pixel 10 series, coming with a cleaner and more symmetric design language. It flaunts AI and security at the helm. As with previous iterations of the phone, it’s not a gaming device and it will probably suffer under tense gaming sessions. Underneath the slab of glass comes the 2nm Google Tensor G6 arranged in a 1+3+4 setup comprising of a 4.11GHz Arm Cortex C1-Ultra+, 3x Arm Cortex C1-Pro+, and 4x Arm Cortex C1-Pro efficiency cores.
The Google Pixel 11 series mainly differ in display sizes and camera equipment. Starting with the display, the Google Pixel 11 comes with a 120Hz OLED display (not LTPO, mind you). The phone measures 6.3 inches diagonally so it naturally feels compact, and the Google Pixel 11 itself is a lot curvier than its predecessor.
Meanwhile, the Google Pixel 11 Pro (not including XL) comes with an upgraded LTPO OLED screen which produces punchier colors and sharper text. This phone also stands at a 6.3-inch height. Meanwhile, the XL comes at a standard 6.8 inches instead.
In terms of cameras, that’s where the Google Pixel 11 series make the most difference both in terms of specs and visually. The Google Pixel 11 comes with two cameras. The main camera is a 48MP sensor (f/1.7, 24mm, 1/1.56″, OIS) and the other is a 10.8MP telephoto camera (f/3.0, 112mm, 1/3.2″ dual-pixel PDAF, OIS). The phone comes with a standard 13MP selfie camera.
Meanwhile, the 11 Pro and its XL variant comes with a triple camera setup arranged in a visor-like shape, a signature Pixel design since the Pixel 6 series. All three cameras are upgraded to the bone. The main camera is a 50MP sensor (f/1.7, 25mm, 1/1.3″, multi-directional PDAF, OIS) and now there are two 48MP cameras. The telephoto camera got a nice upgrade from the Pixel 11. The selfie camera got an upgrade as well, going from 13MP to 42MP. That way, you can see all your blemishes and acne from a mile away.
In terms of battery, the Pixel 11 has a 5000mAh battery with 30W fast charging and 25W wireless charging. Nothing to write home about fair enough. The Pixel 11 Pro uses a 4850mAh with the same charging perimeters (30W wired, 25W wireless) with the XL getting a slightly bigger battery, 5115mAh capacity, and slightly faster charging rate (45W wired, 25W wireless). This comes in a day and age when phone batteries nearly match that of most powerbanks, going as high as 10,000mAh.
The signature color for all three is Obsidian. If you want to stand out, the Google Pixel 11 Pro comes in Canyon, Olive, and Fog. These are the names of the orange, olive green, and cyan blue options respectively.
Meanwhile, the Google Pixel 11 comes in Frost, Pistachio, and Hibiscus. Stay Obsidian for the stealthy look but go for other colors if you want to stand out and scream your Pixel 11 to the heavens.
AVAILABILITY:
The Google Pixel 11 and 11 Pro are not available through any official means in the Philippines, but that doesn’t mean you cannot get an authentic unit. Team Fridays is essentially an “official” reseller of the Google Pixel series, including previous handsets like the Google Pixel 9 and 10 series. The Google Pixel 11 series from Team Fridays was on pre-order and the second batch of orders are expected to arrive in August 30. Regular sale to be announced soon.
The 12/256 variant of the Google Pixel 11 costs PHP 60,000 (~USD 1000) while the Google Pixel 11 Pro starts at PHP 72,000 for the 12/256 variant while it costs PHP 77,500 for the 16/512 variant.
It’s easy to get it if you’re from the US, however. The Google Pixel 11 and 11 Pro series are available through the big-three carriers (Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T) as well as the Google Store. There, the Google Pixel 11 starts at USD 900 while the Google Pixel 11 Pro starts at USD 1,100
For some odd reason, the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold isn’t available for AT&T.
