Vivo is on a roll with these surprisingly top tier camera phones at a killer price!

The Vivo X200 FE, after a number of teasers and a release in both India and China, is arriving in the Philippines. It is a monster packing ZEISS Cameras at an affordable price, which, at this point is already the brand’s forte
The X200 FE is a budget version of the renowned X200 flagship. That means “FE” doesn’t stand for “Flagship Edition”. Vivo did not explicitly state what the acronym actually stands for but if we look at other brands, like Samsung, that uses the term “FE”, we can determine it means “Fan Edition”, like the Galaxy Note FE.

The X200 FE boasts a flat display, taking feedback from consumers and reviewers that feel like curved displays hinder practicality for aesthetics. The flat screen also prevents unwanted corner touches. The phone is compact, with a display measuring only 6.3 inches. As expected, the phone uses LTPO AMOLED, allowing its refresh rate to be adaptive from 60 to 120Hz. This display has a resolution of 2640x1216px.

Vivo’s global website listed several colours, including Blue Breeze, Yellow Glow, Pink Vibe, and Black Luxe. However, only the Blue and Black colours are officially announced. So, for all of you rose gold and real gold lovers out there, tough luck.

The phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. This type of storage is of a slight disadvantage because many other similar-priced handsets go for UFS 4.0 which can load apps faster and read and write your files quicker.

Now, we get why you’re here. You’re here for the ZEISS-powered cameras as with the Vivo V40 and Vivo V50. Vivo produced a new design language for the camera layout called “Rhythm Eye” which makes the phone look simple and clean.
There are three cameras at the back, all of which are functional and usable. The main ZEISS-powered cameras are both 50MP but differ in actual usage. The one on top is the main camera which uses a newer Sony IMX921 sensor with OIS. The other is a telephoto camera which uses the good ol’ Sony IMX882, sometimes also used as a selfie camera. This is a pretty big sensor measuring 1/2″. And the third camera? It’s there to say there is a third camera. It’s the usual 8MP ultrawide which may not produce a high-quality image due to its focal point being wide.
At the front is another 50MP camera which means your selfies will remain vibrant and lively as ever. Though oddly enough, Vivo does not discuss this much.

The phone boasts a large single-cell Silicon-Carbon (SiC) battery with a capacity of 6500mAh. It also charges rather fast with a maximum rating of 90W. The charger and cable are included in the retail box thankfully. The X200 FE lacks wireless charging.
The phone is also IP68 and IP69 certified. To ensure maximum protection, both Level 8 and Level 9 water ingress are required. The former is intended for immersion with a depth not bigger than 2 meters while the latter is intended so that it survives strong pressures of water. Also, according to Vivo, the phone uses “aerospace-grade aluminium” whatever that means.
Again, the device will launch on July 18. Stay tuned on Vivo’s social media pages so you can see the actual price of the phone!
