ZTE Flips the Nubia… Again

The Nubia Flip 2 now comes with a much more premium design. Also, only Japanese users can enjoy it at the moment

You may not have heard but yes, ZTE does have foldable phones. Although, for some odd reason, the brand prefers to launch them in Japan first. The 2nd generation Nubia Flip has been unveiled there and it comes with a larger cover display and a rearranged camera island.

The design feels like a mix of the Tecno Phantom V Flip and the Oppo Find N2 Flip. The Nubia Flip 2 features a ring light flash for softer lighting.

The cover display is now 3″ in size. The phone also now come with a more powerful chipset, the Dimensity 7300X. It has some level of protection, mainly an IP42 rating, which pretty low for flip phone standards.

The main display measures 6.9″ and uses AMOLED with FHD+ (2400x1080px) resolution. This display also has 120Hz refresh rate and houses the 32MP selfie camera.

Speaking of cameras, there are two at the back. Well, sadly, only one actually works. The main camera is 50MP while the secondary camera is everyone’s “favourite”, the 2MP depth. The fingerprint scanner is also featured, though it is at the side of the phone.

It retails in Japan for JPY 64,080, or approximately PHP24K in the Philippines without taxes added in. It is only available for Japanese users currently however knowing ZTE, there is a chance they bring this flip phone globally under a new name.
