A large 10″ tablet at an affordable price. Perfect in case you play, watch, and study all at the same time

Tecno is launching a new tablet with a big screen, and they call it the MegaPad 10. As the name tells, it’s a large 10inch tablet for all your productivity and multitasking needs. Apparently, it also has a SIM Card Slot so, while on the go, you can use data services… or cover your entire ears during a call. It is priced at PHP 8,499 (8/128). It is now available to purchase online via Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok.

A tablet that looks as premium as this and with the size to match, surely there is some sort of “catch”, right? There are, of course, and sadly the “catch” may disappoint you. While, technically it has 8GB RAM, that is actually split into two. That means what you’re getting is only 4GB RAM and the other 4GB is virtual. It also has pretty low storage of just 128GB. Small by today’s tablet and smartphone standards.

Its main feature is arguably its big 10″ screen. Like many tablets, it sports an all aluminum build with a slim profile, so you can carry it around easily and lightly despite the large size. It boasts a 7000mAh battery and only 18W charging. A battery of this seems small when you look at phones at about 6″ in size having almost a similar capacity nowadays. Even Tecno’s own POVA series has batteries just as big. Thankfully, it runs on a fully optimized chipset, the MediaTek Helio G80. While old and ageing, it can still perform basic tasks, sometimes even better than the Helio G85.

Cameras are not usually a big priority for tablets, and the MegaPad 10 comes with a basic pair of cameras. A 13MP shooter at the back and an 8MP at the front for video calls. The tablet runs on a modified version of HiOS running Android 14.

Finally, the tablet boasts stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos to ensure watching movies on it feels immersive, as with most tablets. It comes in Champagne Gold and Space Grey.
