Did someone say MODULAR?
Just a few days ago, CMF released a plethora of products. Yes, that sub-brand from Carl Pei’s Nothing. The main highlight is of course, the CMF Phone 1, boasting a modular back plate. And by the way, there’s a special twist to that back. It turns out, you don’t even need to purchase proprietary backplates. You can 3D print the backplate yourself. So go ahead and be creative.
Aside from the CMF Phone 1, the brand also announced various lifestyle accessories. These include the CMF Buds Pro 2 and now, in this very article, the CMF Watch Pro 2. The main difference between this and its predecessor? You can swap out not just the watchface but the frame and the straps as well. Typically, you’d find smartwatches wherein only the straps are removable. Most of these parts are available via Digital Walker, the brand’s authorized reseller.
Now, onto the specs. This watch features an aluminum alloy body with a circular display. This is a 1.32″ AMOLED display with 466x466px resolution. The watch uses Nothing’s proprietary operating system to function. The watch features 100 faces to choose from and more to be expected thanks to a very active and dedicated community. Currently, there are only 80 watch faces. The other 20 will be available by the end of July.
The entire watch, just like the large dial found on the CMF Buds Pro 2, is controlled through this frame. As you can see, there is no digital crown, as the frame IS the crown. Gesture controls are also available.
As with every other smartwatches, it is a form of health and fitness tracker. It consists of several sensors, including a Blood-Oxygen sensor, a heart rate monitor, and sleep tracker. It features over 120 sports modes to cater to every outgoing activity. Aside from the usual sensors, the watch can also track menstrual cycle.
Finally, the brand claims of an 11-day battery on a single charge, and 9 days on heavy usage. Do note this is lab-tested and real-life usage will differ from user to user. It features AI-based noise reduction which is useful whenever you’re in a call. The watch is IP68-rated so go ahead and swim with it. Whatever you do, DO NOT USE IT ON SALTY WATER.
The watch costs PHP 4,390 to purchase. Visit Digital Walker and pre-order until tomorrow!
